Club Coach -  Tom Rush

Whether you are new to the game, returning after a hiatus, or simply hoping to tweak that forehand; Tom is looking forward to meeting the challenge with you.

With a relaxed approach and keen attention to detail he uses tailored training exercises to hone technique and build confidence in players. A latecomer to the game himself he has insight into the pitfalls to avoid and empathy for the frustrations encountered at Beginner/Improver level.

Over the past 8yrs he's immersed himself in all things tennis: local park leagues, club level social matchplay, charity events, Middlesex league team matches, club tournaments and LTA competitions. From grass roots level coaching with kids to training at a top European academy, he's always gaining expertise and keeping up to date with the latest training methods, technique and equipment.

His own tennis journey has been nothing short of 'life changing' in terms of health and well-being. So his mission now is in some small way at least, to change other peoples lives through tennis.

He first volunteered with us 6 years ago at the Colombo Centre and is now back with us as a PTR qualified coach, his rate is £35 per hour.
